Day 29: good news is I was way under on my calories. Bad news is that I was wayyyy too low on calories and didn’t have enough energy for 500 calories burned but I did burn 150. Gonna step it up for final day 30… Almost end of cycle 1!

Will 30 Days of Fit work?

Who am I to tell you how to get bikini ready by the 4th of July. I just created and started this challenge last month….

What I can tell you is that I will be joining in on the 30 days of fit. Come the 4th of July I will be finishing out my 2nd cycle.

As I finish up my first 30 day cycle  (currently on day 27), I am seeing the changes and the ”results”.  Sure, I have a long way to go but over the past 27 days, I have worked out (burned more than 500 calories a day) 26 times (missed one workout). I have also closely tracked my food intake with MyFitnessPal and have seen what foods are worth eating, and which foods /drinks are better off untouched. I’ve gone over on my calories a few days -but have been conscious to work off those calories the following day.

Before the 30 days, I was at my wit’s end. Every Spring I try to find the miracle diet, the quick fix, something that will get me bikini and beach ready by the summer. This year, I realized that the master cleanse, cabbage soup diet, diet pills were all going to just do what it does every year —- help me lose ‘weight’ for a couple days but not really be fit or toned.  As in an endless cycle of trying to lose a few pounds for each event/ occasion. I set up this Tumblr, and even mentioned the 30 Days of Fit on my Twitter so that I would be held accountable for my decision.

While I won’t post my final ‘weigh in’ details until Day 30 (Friday)- I can say that I notice a difference in my body - not just the number on the scale but definition in my legs, around my waist, etc.  Sure, I still have a long ways to go but it is a start. A healthy start that is teaching me how to be healthy (eating whole foods that are good for your body) and how to be active (it’s nice to be able to enjoy long hikes w/ my bf without having to catch my breath).

So as I round out my first 30 day cycle, I will jumping straight into the 30 Days Of Fit: Bikini Ready By The 4th Of July.

Hope some of you join me on this challenge!
